Chambers of Commerce are an international organisation. Many towns and cities have a Chamber of Commerce. You may wish to contact your local Chamber of Commerce and ask for a letter of recommendation you can then send to the Chambers of Commerce in African cities. Most Chambers are proactive on behalf of their members and may be able to match you up with someone.
Here are some links:
Many countries also have Export Organisations, and Import Organisations. Try contacting these organisations in the African countries you are interested in. Once again, they usually represent members who are looking for new leads and opportunities
Finally, contact the nearest embassy for the African countries you are interested in. Most embassies have a trade section, or a person interested in trade, who will help establish trade links with their country. They are also able to help you with import restrictions, and other issues you need to be aware of when exporting into their country
